Robin Hood and Friar Tuck:
Zombie Killers
Medieval civilization was under threat from the undead.
When lion-hearted Richard ruled the roost
Of England, he decided that to boost
His regal reputation he should mount
A war to wrest from Turkish men the fount
Of Christendom; yet in that desert land
A zombie plague emerged from ’midst the sand.
A necromancer’s alchemistic spell
Reanimated corpses bound for Hell
(And even bound for Heaven’s pearly gate).
Soon after ’twas apparent that the fate
Of all on Earth--the evil and the good--
Was in the hands of Robin of the Hood
Whose outlaw men, along with Friar Tuck,
Against rampaging hordes of zombies struck.
They fought to save the likes of you and I,
Not caring that one slip might make them die.
Their tale lies here, within this humble book--
I pray you’ll spare the time to take a look.

mad scientists: horror most fowl
"So here's my bit 'o chicken: I used to do a lot of acting in indie films, and one of my favorite (and strangest) was a spoof on horror films I did called "Zombeak!" It's a hilarious zombie/chicken movie & in one scene I had to deliver a monologue to a fake chicken possessed by satan! Talk about suspension of disbelief, phew."
Yep. Scientist-etsians are not like other people. I <3 the mad scientists. They have more off-beat life stories.

In other news, I sold a walrus print, yay! Reynardin and I persisted, though we had to wait in line in the cold (Hey! You there, yeah you, Climate - wake up! It is mid-May... enough with the frost already!) to get into to the music to draw to soiree, because as kid koala said, they "grossly underestimated how many of [us] wanted to draw". But draw, to music, we did.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more
I have stolen my post title from bioephemera* because, frankly, she has composed the best post title I can recall reading. Check out her review of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Hints of Buffy the Vampire-Slayer meets Regency drama... with zombies.
In case this merely whets your P&P remix appetite, you can simply wait for Pride and Predator. "Elton John's Rocket Pictures is developing a new spin on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, this time featuring a nefarious seven-foot extraterrestrial with hideous mandibles and a penchant for human blood." [source: The Gaurdian]. Or if the whole spoof/remix of classics of English literature has captured your imagination, or you happen to have a McAvoy fetish (*cough!* Faunalia, Reynardin), there is always, Gnomeo and Juliet.
